In this interview, Alison Crowley talks about how she used to be dancer and an actress. Due to a series of injuries, she discovered yoga as a way to help her heal. She eventually completed several yoga and yoga therapy courses which brought her to her current business as a yoga therapist.
Alison has been able to convince several hospitals in Los Angeles to offer yoga classes for women cancer survivors. She also sees clients privately for yoga therapy. Alison shares how important these yoga classes are for the women and how they facilitate a strong sense of community. Alison’s business goes to show how you can be a trail blazer and be successful at a business that is desperately needed, but no one else is doing. I hope you are as inspired by Alison’s work as I am.

Alison Crowley, Certified Yoga Therapist (E-RYT 500, CYT) is the founder and creator of “Bolster & Bridge – Gentle Yoga Therapy To Complement Cancer Treatment And Recovery.” She has specialized in yoga therapy for people living with cancer since 2009.
Alison created and teaches the yoga therapy programs for Cedars-Sinai/Tower Hematology, Cedars Sinai/Brandman Breast Center, The Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai, Tower Cancer Research Foundation, and The Center for Radiation Therapy of Beverly Hills/Vantage Oncology. She also leads teacher trainings in this field to other yoga therapists and is a member of the Yoga Alliance (YA), and the International Assoc. of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). She is a certified yoga therapist through Loyola Marymount University’s “Yoga Rx Program.”
