Highlights from Episode 57
In this episode we answered the following questions:
1. Jerry
“Jerry – After listening to your podcast I know I should be doing email marketing, but I feel overwhelmed with the next steps to get started. I opened a Mailchimp account. What should I be doing next to get started as soon as possible?”
2.
“I am a holistic nutritionist in Vancouver, BC. I’m really struggling to build my business. Although people really care about their health here and seek out alternative practitioners, it seems people are more familiar with naturopaths than holistic nutritionists. I have a website and I’ve been putting up flyers and did a few talks, but so far I only have had a few clients. Also, naturopaths are covered on some insurance plans, but I am not. I’m almost ready to give up because I just don’t know if it is possible. I am hoping you will give me advice on whether I should quit or continue trying to create a practice here. If you think I should continue, can you please tell me how you think I can succeed? How can I compete with naturopaths?”
3. Jenny
“Jenny – I work in a major American city that is saturated with therapists. It’s just impossible to make any headway in the rankings in Google because Psychology Today listings and many other websites rank above mine. What other marketing strategies do you suggest if I can’t get my website to rank well?”
