Highlights from Episode 47
1. Jess Mills
“I am a mature age social work student with 12 years experience working in suicide prevention through volunteer and paid work. I intend to focus on suicide prevention and bereavement as my niche.
I listen to podcasts, and have considered starting a blog and website, but am reluctant to, as I am still a student and am concerned about marketing myself before I am ready to see actual clients. I am a member of professional organisations and am taking relevant professional development courses in my summer break. Do you have any tips for students who already know what they want to do professionally?”
2. Jodie Gale – http://www.jodiegale.com
“When I open up another day when my youngest goes to preschool next year, what is the best way to let potential clients know who have joined my mailing list? It is my main list. I am just thinking as I am writing, should I have had a separate list for this? And should I send a newsletter to my main list noting that I have space opening up?”
3. Louise White – Launceston Tasmania – www.awakenhypnosis.com
“I listen to a lot of podcasts and subscribe to emails out of the USA. I’ve heard a lot about affiliate marketing (particularly Amazon links). Is this something that you think is worthwhile for therapists, and is it even possible in Australia?”
