Highlights from Episode 37
In this episode we answered the following questions:
Question 1: Jeff (Minneapolis, Minnesota) – “What are the best marketing methods for my therapy practice when there are so many?”
Juliet advised starting with 2-4 marketing methods, combining local, community marketing activities as well as some online marketing tactics. You may only need a few methods to build a full therapy practice or natural health business.
Online marketing methods include writing articles, sharing information on social media, podcasting, and webinars. Building an email list and sharing your content with your subscribers is the main way to market online.
Clinton also added to take into consideration the business and revenue goals when you are making decisions about your marketing tactics. Try to determine which ones are more likely to bring you results faster.
Question 2: Howard Todd-Collins (Director/Psychotherapist, Men and Relationships Counselling – Melbourne, Australia) – “How do I reach my target audience for counselling men?”
Clinton stated that to reach his target audience of men he should focus on what is going to get him the best results in the shortest amount of time. He said one great way to build an audience is through podcasting as well as getting PR (Public Relations) in print and online media, publications and television.
Question 3: Vivian Baruch (B.A, Sydney, Australia) – “What’s an economical way to getting someone to update my website to Thesis 2?”
Clinton suggests using codeable.io and WPCurve.com while Juliet suggests to used Wpfixit.com.
Juliet also added the importance of updating WordPress versions and plug-ins soon after new versions are released. She recommended using Backup Buddy for an additional backup in case your website gets hacked.
