Highlights from Episode 30

Question 1: Howard Todd-Collins  – www.menandrelationships.com.au

“I have another question about newsletters & Blogs.  My newsletter is monthly, currently with 3 blog posts attached. I have quite a lot of content and posting ideas up my sleeve.

My question is, does the frequency of my newsletter have to match the frequency of my blog posting?  For example, currently, I could update my blog more frequently than I send out my newsletter.

Thanks, Guys, loving your work!”

Question 2: Carol-Anne

“Thanks for your wonderful podcast! You two are amazing! I’ve been struggling for weeks trying to write the copy for my website. I don’t understand why it is so hard for me to do. I am a good writer (or so I am told) and usually, I like writing.

I am a generalist and don’t want to have a niche because I seem to do ok without having one. The problem is that every time I write something, it just sounds so boring – generic – like the same thing everyone else is writing. How do you write about things like depression, anxiety, trauma, etc and make it sound interesting? I’d appreciate any thoughts you have. Thanks.”

Question 3: James, Rolfing Practitioner, Gold Coast, QLD

“Hi there. I’ve noticed lately that some of my competitor’s banner ads are appearing all over the Internet when I am surfing. This includes YouTube and lots of large news websites.

I can’t work out how my competitors can afford to advertise on these sites, but a friend told me this is called Google Remarketing and is quite cheap. Can you explain what remarketing is and should I consider it as a marketing strategy? Thanks in advance. Love your podcast!”
