Highlights from Episode 8
Question 1: Daniela – “What are the top 5 web designers for building a successful website?”
Juliet and Clinton recommended some web designers and shared the designers who designed their sites (see below). Juliet talked about working with Leah Kalamakis and how positive that experience was for her.
Question 2: Mary (yourwatermatters.com) – “If I were to focus on one social media platform to get started with social media marketing, which one would you suggest?”
Juliet suggested since Mary has a health site, she might start with Facebook because it’s so popular. Or, Pinterest could be a place to try as there are mostly women using the platform and they tend to pin things that women are interested in including mental and physical health-related pins.
Question 3: Sam – “What are the benefits of having a niche vs. marketing to everyone?”
Clinton talked about how it is easier to market with a niche because you can create a very specific message which is more compelling than trying to write for everyone. It is very competitive online for therapists and so the more you can stand out, the better it will be. Juliet stated that she agreed, but that it is possible to build a full practice as a generalist if you are spending a lot of time marketing in your local community. Those in smaller communities also may need to market as a generalist due to smaller populations.
