Highlights from Episode 1
Question 1: Patrice – “What marketing and advertising methods statistically prove to be most effective for therapists?”
Juliet remarked that there are not any marketing statistics for therapists specifically. It’s also challenging to say which marketing method would work best for therapists because there are many factors involved in any marketing method that will determine the results you get. Some methods such as writing/blogging and speaking can be very effective at reaching a larger audience over time if you are marketing effectively.
Question 2: April – “What is your advice for ethical social media marketing for therapists?”
Clinton stated that social media marketing is more about branding and building your online profile than it is about getting clients directly from social media. It’s about putting material on social media and positioning yourself as an authority in your niche, and providing valuable content to your audience.
Question 3: “What are the most important steps to making a business plan?”
Juliet mentioned her 3 criteria for a marketing plan: make it simple, realistic and doable. You don’t need a complicated business plan, you need something simple in writing that includes the methods you are using, the action steps and the dates you plan on completing the actions by. Juliet has an online course called The Marketing Plan Mini-Camp that shows you how to do this.
